Founder & Executive Director

I'm Kristina Barnard, and I am the founder of Million Dreams. Being a former police officer, it was heartbreaking every time I had to take kids away from abusive or neglectful families. When I left the police force, I began volunteering my time as a CASA (court appointed special advocate). This allowed me to work one on one with kids in the foster care system. Because of this volunteer work, I found a gap in the foster care system. I realized that if a child wanted to do an extracurricular activity, the financial burden was left solely on the foster families. Most foster families don't have the extra finances to be able to afford these activities. This is where Million Dreams started. I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing organization and can't wait to see how it grows!

Director of Donor and Relationship Development

My name is Rich Rodgers, and I sit on the Board Of Directors of Million Dreams. I have always been one to help and care for others, which is why I became a police officer and trainer/instructor. After 10 years in uniform, I started a construction company that evolved into a real estate repair service helping those who were buying or selling their homes. I loved being a part of such an important time in people's lives; it was very satisfying. I am now Director Of Facilities for Ronald McDonald House Charities, St Louis. In my current role, I get to see and feel how rewarding it can be to help someone in their time of need. When I was asked to be a part of Million Dreams, it was a no-brainer! We will make a difference, and I am excited to be a part of it.

Director of Communications & Public Relations

As an educator for 24 years, I’ve worked directly with children in the foster care system. Million Dreams is an organization that focuses on bringing a sparkle of joy to the lives of children who just want “to have everyday life experiences”. I can’t wait to see how one small act of kindness can create a ripple affect of wonderful experiences and memories for so many children.

Director of Community Outreach

Hello! I’m so excited to be on the board of Million Dreams! Children In foster care have always had a special place in my heart. Two of my cousins spent 2 years in foster care before becoming adopted by my aunt and uncle. My boys were in interim foster care, and I have had many students who have been in foster care. When I heard about Kristina and her mission and dreams for this organization I knew I wanted to be a part of Million Dreams!  Other than serving on the board of this wonderful non profit organization, I am a teacher, wife, and mom of twins!
